My interest in art began as a small child painting by numbers with acrylic. Years went by before my formal training as a student of the late Sidney E. King, reknowned Caroline County artist. During that time, he helped to develop my technique with oils and acrylics. I have been fortunate to pursue my life long love of painting now as a student of the late Carol Campbell, Susan Stuller, Ed King, Hsi-Mei Yates and Johnny Johnson. Watercolor is now the medium of choice and I feel it is where my art becomes alive. My paintings showcase scenic Virginia, marine life, floral and fawna and world travels. I express life experiences through color, light, shapes and memories. I am associated with Libertytown Arts Workshop, Fredericksburg,
VA and exhibit and demonstrate at Studio 10. Ongoing exhibits include
