Intro. to Street Art: Posters, Stencils, and Collage
(ages 10 and up)
Street Art is any art inspired by, developed, and executed in a public space. Derived from both Pop Art and Graffi ti Culture, this art form now pervades our cityscapes, fi lm/television media, and the Internet. This workshop provides an overview of this phenomenon using books, sideshows, and other media. Students will create their own large format poster intended for their most coveted private space—their bedroom wall.
